Answer only if you are from Europe or Great Britain please! Do y'all

Answer only if you are from Europe or Great Britain please! Do y'all?
Do y'all tip waitstaff and bartenders at pubs or restaurants? If so, what percentage of the tab? Just curious since I work in a bar/restaurant Please say where you are from. And what is a quid? I am assuming in other countries that bartenders and waitstaff make good wages since there really isn't tipping? Also feel free to answer if you are from somewhere else, just I know how the US does it.

Bartenders, no. Waiters, sometimes - only a couple of quid though.

In great Britain you usually only tip for good service there is no percentage you have to give a tip. Most people usually tip in bars which is usually small change like 5 or 10 pence which all adds up and usually put in a tip jar. you may find certain times of the year people will tip like easter, Christmas things along those lines or when people are happy. As for quid it is the pound sterling. Here is a link explaining it http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-quid.htm

I'm from Portugal. I leave a tip if I like the service, no tip if it's just regular or bad. The staff are supposed to earn enough without having to resort to tips and no one ever tipped me in my line of work, anyway. A quid is the same as a pound in Britain.
