US Citizen becoming a soccer coach in the UK

US Citizen becoming a soccer coach in the UK?
I am trying to figure out what it would take to both move to Great Britain, and also end up getting a job over there. From what I have found so far it seems that you need a job offer to get a work visa. So here is the question, is there a way to live legally in England and then find a job? Is it possible as a US citizen to get an iterim job while looking for a new one in the UK? Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

The simple answer to your question is No. You need to have a firm offer of a job to obtain a work permit. With the UK unemployment figures your chances are not good. Your not a world class coack by any chance ? Right now Scotland is in need of a new Coach. The UK Embassy site has all the details you need. Ian M

You need to contact Border and Immigration and apply for a WORKING HOLIDAY VISA, and then when you have the right job, the employer can apply for a work permit on your behalf.
