Life choice help urgently needed

Life choice help urgently needed?
Please help, I'm very confused as to what is the best way forward in my life. To give you a bit of background, I'm 35, live in the Channel Islands, Great Britain and have worked as a hospital administrator for 10 years. Before that, I had a nervous breakdown for want of better words. I had dropped out of university, got diagnosed with bipolar depression and the job started as simple clerical tasks as a therapeutic way of bringing me out of my depression. I did well at the job and soon moved up the ranks and 10 years on I'm still there! Don't get me wrong, it's a stable, well paid job but I've always felt as if I am 'better' than an admin person and need to get a career. I've got a teaching English as a foreign language qualification and have been teaching in my spare time and am almost finished a modern languages degree by correspondance. Meanwhile, I met someone 2 years ago through work, we've since bought a house together and got engaged. He's the love of my life! I'm 35 and my mother started her menopause at age 40. I'm worried that if we don't have a baby soon it will be too late. I also need to come off my lithium for at least 6 months before conceiving which will be very stressful too. So, my quandary comes because I've been 'head hunted' for a job which will incorporate my teaching skills and academic abilities by working as a 'mentor' in a careers service. The job is only a 6 month contract though and my current contract is permanent. Which order should I do things in? Stick with the well paid but boring job I'm in now, make full use of the maternity leave it offers and have a baby and forget about the career.... ......or, grab this chance at doing something I've been wanting to do for a long, long time and risk losing time to have a baby, risk losing money if my contract isn't renewed after the 6 months. Where would that leave us as a couple? I wouldn't be earning money to pay my share of the mortgage. To be honest, I can't work out which option is best for me and need your help. Thank you

Almost every American cuts his teeth on the American Revolution. As children, we are spoon fed stories about the courageous George Washington braving that grueling winter at Valley Forge and Nathan Hale, strong even in the face of death, going to the gallows, crying out, "I regret that I have but one life to give for my country." Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, John Adams, Paul Revere-these are names that are engraved on the minds of every American school child. Yes, you know the names--you know the stories, but do you really know the flavor of the times? Do you know why the Revolution happened? Do you know what philosophy underlies 'the American War for Independence? Do you know how it affected the world? And finally, do you know how it affected America and American literature? In the pages of your textbook, you will find, in a very abbreviated form, the political and economic reasons for the Revolutionary War. The colonists began to feel like a nation--calling themselves Americans and resenting the interference of the British. Colonists wanted to have more control in governing the colonies--including more financial control. They resented being taxed by Great Britain, particularly since they felt they had no voice in British government (taxation without representation). These reasons, however, tell only half of the story. The colonists had many legitimate complaints against the British government, but many colonized territories have had equally legitimate complaints against their parent countries, and yet they have not resorted to revolution. The Age of Reason concept of government predisposed the American colonists to view their complaints against Great Britain as sufficient cause for revolt. The Concept of Government in the Age of Reason In Lesson 4, you learned about the basic beliefs of supporters of the Age of Reason. Remember that they emphasized the power of reason and the capability and perfectibility of man. Now let's look at how these basic beliefs were translated into a concept of government that favored individual rights and government by consensus. In the United States of the twentieth century, we often take our right to vote for granted. We don't realize that the idea of the people electing government officials is a relatively new one--a product, in large part, of the Age of Reason. During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, the concept of the divine right of kings was almost undisputed in Europe. The divine right of kings is the belief that God had conferred on the king of a country and his house the power and the right to govern. Man had no say in what God ordained. In England, the concept of divine right was. challenged by Oliver Cromwell in the 1600s when King Charles I was deposed and beheaded for his "crimes" against the kingdom. Unfortunately, the Commonwealth Republic that Cromwell established degenerated into a Protectorate that quickly became a dictatorship. Not long after Cromwell's death, the British Parliament reinstituted the monarchy and the divine right of kings. The concept of government by the people was never fully explored or supported by Cromwell's abortive government. Not until the end of the 1600s were the concepts of government by consensus and the natural rights of man fully developed and written down as a coherent and cogent philosophy. In 1690, John Locke, one of the most important philosophers of the Age of Reason, published his great political work, Two Treatises of Government--a pivotal influence on the leaders of the Revolutionary War 80 years later. What did Two Treatises of Government propose? Basically, it proposed that man was by nature good and that natural law had given man liberty and natural rights (the protection of life, the acquisition and security of property, freedom of movement, equal justice before law, and the freedom to speak and think within certain limits). Natural rights, according to Locke, had existed before formal government and were superior to it. Because these natural rights were not self-enforcing, some form of government was needed to protect them. Government, then, was to serve man--man was not to serve government. The idea of government serving only to protect the natural rights of man developed into the social contract theory. In order to protect their rights, men consented to be governed. They struck up a bargain with the state. The English jurist Blackstone defined the social contract theory of government neatly when he said that government was "a voluntary compact between a ruler and the ruled . . . . liable to such limitations as are necessary for the security of the absolute rights of the latter." The entire purpose of the contract was to provide security, and the happy enjoyment of life, liberty, and property for the governed. Implicit in the terms of the social contract were three things: That the primary power of government remain with the people That th

So what is your question?

I think you should add that all the power of the monarchy was removed in 1689 and was placed in the hands of the elected Parliament. King George III had virtually no power, the American Colonists were fighting against the policies of an elected Parliament and Prime Minister, NOT (as the US education system teaches) a tyrannical King. Also, England is not the same as Britain, English is not the same as British.

I'm so tempted to join this work-at-home business called Eastern Financial Group ...?
You would be a Payment Processing Manager and you transfer money they put in your account to one of their clients and get 5% commission. I would open a new account at a different bank than the one I use. They also want US, Great Britain, and New Zealand citizens to do this. Does this sound legit? Anyone else out there working for Eastern Financial Group? Is this a way to get an outsourced job back to a U.S. citizen? So far, all they've asked for is my birth date, but I haven't submitted anything yet. Does this sound like possible identity theft or money laundering for Al Queda? Could it really be a good opportunity? Their website is http://www.easternfinance.co.in. Thank you for any input.

If it sounds too good to be true, generally it is. Personally, I would pass on this type of work-at-home opportunity.

I know it's an over used phrase, but If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is...
3 :
It is a scam.I've checked the deal , was going to sign up a few months ago too, fortunately I changed my mind.Stay away from work at home online jobs, 99% of them are scams.

Not Al Queda, just a scam. What they do is send a false deposit into your account, and you then deposit the money for them and keep 5%. However when the bank gets the deposit, usually a false cheque, it'll bounce. But this takes a few days. Basically it puts your account into a negative, and then you're stuck paying off this bill. Report them to authorities immediately, it is a scam. This same thing happened in my town, with students subletting. People would call people who had their places up for sublet, and say they were from a far off place. They then send a false money order for a large amount, larger than what's needed. They then ask for them to put it in their account and send them the difference. Then when the cheque goes through the banks and bounces, these people are stuck with a huge bill. The other thing these guys may get you to do is to divulge your own bank account information, then they just suck the money from your pockets. Don't fall for it, forward it to the cops. PS: The tell I think is in the fact that they say they deal with a lot of money, yet they're trusting absolute strangers without credentials or certification with this money. That's like me asking random people on the street to take my money and deposit it into my account, it's totally illogical.

DO NOT DO THIS! My best friend decided to do this scam where she would deposit large amount of foriegn checks into her account for some company similiar to the one you want to work for and in the process of them taking their funds out, they also took money out of her account as well leaving her negative. They were smart about it though. When they took it out, they did leave a large amount of commission for her (about 3000$) and she did not spend it. After a month they took it out and some more money as well leaving her broke. These scam artists are getting smarter though. Think about it, when you open this account up, it under your name. And no one ever opens up an account for free, so you will have to start this new account up with YOUR money. Once they transfer these checks into YOUR account, they will have access. Even though its a new account at a different bank, its still your account. A lot of these scams are coming from individuals in countries like Nigeria and individuals in Europe who may or may not have involvement with Nigeria. Check out this link below to read more info on this. But DO NOT do this. If this was your business, would U trust someone over the internet to handle your company's money in a private account? I don't think so.

I wouldn't trust anything that requires to transfer money like that. That's letting to many people into your finaciall life. If you are looking for a way to supplement some income or make money, I would love to share with you an opportunity that I have found. I love it, Im a mom of 2 and this is the best thing I have ever found. Please click my avatar and email or check out the links there. Good luck you!!!!

This definitely screams some type of scam, money laundering, etc to me. Personally I would never get involved with anything where I was associating my name, tax ID, banking information or any other personal information with someone elses activities. Please be careful!
